Location: The Woodlands, Texas
Position Type: Full-Time, Fractional / Contract (Initial 1-Year Engagement)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid / Flexible Based on Executive Needs
Travel Requirements: Up to 60% travel as needed based on executive and operational priorities
Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience


Position Overview

The Chief of Staff Co. is seeking a highly organized, emotionally intelligent, and adaptable Fractional Chief of Staff to support a busy executive based in The Woodlands, Texas. This opportunity is designed for a polished and proactive professional capable of operating within fast-paced, high-performance environments with discretion, professionalism, sound judgment, and operational excellence.


The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic operational partner responsible for helping manage day-to-day priorities, streamline communication, coordinate projects and logistics, and support the overall functionality and organization of the executive’s professional and personal operations. This role requires strong communication skills, executive presence, adaptability, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate needs while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

The successful candidate must possess high emotional intelligence, professionalism, accountability, and the ability to remain composed, solutions-oriented, and non-reactionary within dynamic environments.


This is a full-time fractional opportunity structured as an initial one-year engagement. However, employment remains at-will, and Chief of Staff Co. reserves the right to modify, conclude, or extend the engagement at its discretion and in accordance with applicable law.

Please note that housing and relocation assistance are not provided for this position.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational support to the executive across business and personal priorities
  • Manage scheduling coordination, meetings, calendars, and executive logistics
  • Assist with project coordination, follow-through, and accountability across multiple initiatives
  • Support operational organization and workflow management
  • Serve as a point of coordination between the executive and internal/external stakeholders
  • Assist with travel coordination, event logistics, and itinerary management as needed
  • Travel up to 60% as required to support executive, operational, and business priorities
  • Prepare reports, presentations, summaries, and executive correspondence
  • Anticipate needs and proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency and organization
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all executive, business, and personal matters
  • Support special projects and evolving operational priorities as assigned
  • Utilize Trello for task management, workflow coordination, and visibility across ongoing priorities and initiatives
  • Demonstrate strong accountability and follow-through by ensuring tasks and deliverables are completed in a timely manner without the need for repeated reminders
  • Provide consistent status updates, progress reporting, and communication regarding ongoing projects, priorities, and operational deliverables


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
  • Prior experience supporting executives, entrepreneurs, public figures, or high-performing leaders strongly preferred
  • Experience in executive operations, project management, administration, consulting, hospitality, or strategic support environments preferred
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High emotional intelligence and interpersonal awareness required
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt within evolving and fast-paced environments
  • Ability to remain professional, composed, solutions-oriented, and non-reactionary under pressure
  • Strong accountability, initiative, and follow-through
  • Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment in confidential environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Trello, and/or virtual collaboration tools
  • Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities effectively
  • Flexible, resourceful, and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently as business needs require


Additional Requirements

  • Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete assessments relevant to the role and operational environment
  • A signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) will be required prior to engagement due to the confidential nature of the position and client environment
  • Background verification and professional reference checks may be conducted as part of the vetting process
